Summer Term 2022
What the Government’s Living with Covid Plan means for our school:
Free testing for the general public, including staff and children at school, ended on 1st April. This means we aren’t able to give out free tests any longer.
There are changes in what the guidance says about children staying at home and not attending school. These are:
- Children who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can go back to school or childcare when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend.
- Children with a positive Covid-19 test result should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days, which is when they are most infectious.
To keep everyone safe and well and prevent the virus from spreading, we will make sure:
Children wash or sanitise their hands throughout the school day
Our classes are well-ventilated
Children meet in smaller class groups for assemblies, lunchtimes and playtimes
We carry on with our extra cleaning hours throughout the school day
We carry on using our one way system at the start and beginning of the school day.
Thank you for your support as we get used to living with the Covid virus. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
