Every Day Counts
It is really important that your child attends school every day and on time. This gets them into good habits for the world of work. Even one day’s lost learning can make it tricky for your child to catch up, and children with poor attendance find it harder to settle into school and make friends.
If your child is unwell, please ring the school office on 01623 484512 to let us know. If you are not able to ring, the office team will contact you for a reason why your child is absent from school. Any unexplained absences will be recorded as unauthorised.
We understand some children have to attend hospital and medical appointments. Wherever possible, try to book these in the school holidays or after the end of the school day.
Please take a while to read our updated attendance policy. This explains that the governors have agreed to the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices for unauthorised non-attendance and means you may be fined if your child does not come to school regularly. These fines apply to both parents, whether you live with your child or not. We are also unable to authorise holidays in term time unless you fit the exceptional circumstances in the policy.
